If Sailor Mercury is the one who thinks things through, Sailor Jupiter is the one who acts on impulse and is not afraid to kick your ass! Indeed, her human counter part, Makoto/Lita, was kicked out of her old school for fighting. While violence-prone and hot headed, Mako-chan has a golden heart and one of her favorite past times is cooking. She lives alone in her apartment full of plants (her name means Patience of Wood). Another of Mako's quirks is her tendency to fall in love with every cute guy she meets because, according to her, he looks like her old boyfriend (who broke her heart). Actually, her and Usagi/Serena battled over Motoki/Andrew, the change-boy at the local video arcade, for a while ^_~

The Senshi team's physically strongest fighter, it makes sense that all of Sailor Jupiter's attacks (in the anime) have to do with lightning. Not mention that her planet, Jupiter, is named after the ruling god of ancient Rome whose primary weapon was the lightning bolt. If you've ever gotten hit by one of those, you know how it feels to be barbequed by Supreme Thunder ^_^ To control her wild power (and make sure she doesn't Zap herself) Jupiter has a mini lightning rod that extends from her tiara when she calls "upon the great power of Jupiter to vanquish...evil"

Like Usagi/Serena, school is definately not Mako-chan's strong point. Something you may notice as you watch the anime is that Makoto's uniform is different from that of the other girl's. This is because Mako, being the astonishing height of 5'6" ^_~, is too tall for any of the uniform's the school provides, so she just wears the one from her old school. Mako-chan is made fun of quite a lot for her height and muscular (?) build. She does finally get the same uniform as the other girls when they enter high school in series five "Sailor Stars".
